IDBALI – The Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Center building, which is located in the Badung Government Center (Puspem), is broken in its ornamentation.

It is not known exactly when the pressed brick ornament broke.

However, from the monitoring at the location, the police lines have been given to the collapsed parts of the building.

Even all the broken ornaments are also covered with black paranet nets.

But until now it is not known when it will be repaired, remembering that until now it is still being supported.

The collapse of the brick ornaments also occurred when the Badung PDI Perjuangan registered prospective legislative candidates on Thursday 11 May 2023.

When confirmed, one of the employees at the Cultural Center did not know exactly when the ornament broke. In fact, his party admitted that it had been cleaned because it had blocked the road to the Badung KPU Office.

“The bricks that fell down fell on the road in front of the KPU and Religion offices. So I can see they have been cleaned clean,” explained the employee who did not want to be named.

It was acknowledged that the broken brick ornament was because the bricks did not want to stick to the wall. Even the height of the broken ornament is around 10 meters high and 6 meters wide.

“Maybe when it’s raining, sir,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (PUPR), IB Surya Suamba, who was confirmed on Monday 15 May 2023, did not deny that the ornaments of the Giri Nata Mandala Cultural Center building were broken.

“Yes, the bricks are loose,” said Surya Suamba.

They do not yet know what caused the brick to come off and not stick. PUPR and partners are still studying this.

“We are again examining the causes of the bricks not sticking properly,” he said.

It was further explained, even though the ornament was broken, until now it was still the responsibility of the partner. Given that there is still time for maintenance.

“So it is still the provider’s responsibility regarding this construction guarantee. So we don’t spend a budget for repairs anymore,” he explained while saying that this week the plan would be repaired.

To note, the building of the Cultural Center was carried out by PT Tunas Jaya Sanur.

In fact, the project, which cost Rp 360 billion, was completed at the end of August 2019

The building stands on an area of 4 hectares with a total building area of approximately 1.8 hectares.

In fact, the building can accommodate around 2,600 spectators equipped with international standard LEDs, sound systems and lighting. (*)
