IDBALI – The connecting road between Evidence Village and Tunjung Village in Kubudindingan District, Buleleng was badly damaged. This breakdown occurred a long time ago.

Because it was not repaired, residents held an action to plant banana trees in the middle of the road.

The head of the village head of Evidence Gede Wardana confirmed Monday (15/5) that the 1.5-kilometer long road has the status of a district road.

His party has also suggested several times to the PUTR Office of Buleleng that it be repaired immediately.

However, said Wardana, the government admits that it has not been able to repair the road, due to a lack of budget.

“We have proposed repairs every year, even during the last musrenbang. Our proposal has been responded to, but it cannot be repaired immediately because PUTR has a minimum budget. We also cannot repair it using village funds, because the status of the road is a district road,” he said.

Wardana also admitted that he did not know exactly when the residents planted banana trees on the road.

He only found out about this action last Sunday, after it went viral on social media.

Wardana said, almost half of the road is clear. Residents also had time to do repairs independently, but it did not last long alias damaged again.

Due to this condition, Wardana also hopes that the government can immediately repair the road, considering that this route is the economic access for the community to send agricultural products.

While the Head of PUTR Buleleng, I Putu Adiptha, could not be confirmed. He did not pick up the phone and did not reply to messages from Tribun Bali journalists.
