IDBALI – Every Friday, the Dangin Puri Denpasar Village Pelita Garbage Bank operates. This activity is carried out to reduce waste going to TPS and TPA Suwung. Garbage exchange and weighing activities took place at the Dangin Puri Village Head Office.

Dangin Puri Urban Village Head I Gusti Agung Gede Okariawan said, in the waste collection activity his party received all types of waste that could be recycled.

“Such as used plastic bottles, cardboard, paper and other waste that can be recycled except for residual waste and B3 waste,” said Okariawan, Wednesday, May 17, 2023.

He also said, during the activity last Friday, his party managed to collect trash weighing a total of 851 kg.

“We hope that in the future the community will become more aware of sorting waste from their homes. Apart from being able to resell it, this effort can also help reduce the volume of waste that is disposed of in landfills,” he added.

According to him, the public should take advantage of the existence of the Pelita waste bank because it acts as a container to accommodate only waste that is ready to be recycled.

However, the waste depositors also benefit.

The waste saved will be calculated in the savings book.

Then for the withdrawal can be done at any time.

“However, every birthday we will provide groceries for 10 people who have the largest waste bank savings balance,” he explained.
